Thinking about working or playing outdoors today? Check the Sensor Map! It's designed to help you plan your day by offering current air quality and general forecast information.
The color of the circles (Purple Air sensors) and stars (Agency monitors) indicates the latest air quality level for that location. The color of the larger shaded regions is based on today's expected air quality forecast.
On large screens, after clicking on a site, a graph shows the air quality over the last 3 days. A horizontal bar representing each day is shaded based on the 24-hour average air quality level. The dot marked as an "x" on the right of the graph shows the most recent pollution level. Click on the Impact tab to see a physical activity guide that suggests appropriate actions you can take based on the current air quality level at that location.
On small devices, tapping a site will display the current air quality at that location.
Click on the Instant tab at the top right to see the latest Purple Air sensor values. The Instant view can be very useful when conditions are changing rapidly, such as during a wildfire smoke event.
Purple Air sensor data are quality controlled and calibrated to improve accuracy. Learn more at our Air Quality Sensor Map page.
