Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (the Agency) is seeking comments on draft Air Operating Permit (Permit No. 10028) for Puget Sound Energy – Frederickson, located at 4717 192nd Street East, Tacoma, WA 98446. This facility has two gas turbines and associated equipment for electricity production. Facility operations result in releases of volatile organic compounds, hazardous air pollutants, oxides of nitrogen, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter.
The draft Air Operating Permit is a renewal of the current Puget Sound Energy - Frederickson permit that is already in force. Air Operating Permits expire every five years and need to be renewed. This renewal incorporates all the new compliance requirements that have come into effect for Puget Sound Energy - Frederickson since the previous permit was issued.
