The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency will hold a public comment period and public hearing on a proposed permit for Seaport Sound Terminal LLC, located at:
2628 Marine View Dr, Tacoma, WA 98422
to allow blending of butane into existing gasoline storage tanks. The emissions associated with this project were evaluated and could total up to 0.11 tons per year of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). This project will not increase emissions of hazardous air pollutants or toxic air contaminants.
The Agency has completed a review of Seaport Sound Terminal’s permit application No. 11917 and has made a preliminary determination that the proposal meets all the requirements of Agency Regulations I, II and III and should be approved. A review of the environmental impacts from this project was evaluated previously by the City of Tacoma, as documented in the Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance (MDNS) published on April 3, 2012.

How to Participate in the Online Public Hearing
Due to the current pandemic and requirements of social distancing, the Agency will be holding an online public hearing via GoToMeeting, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from 2:30 pm PST to 5:30 pm PST. The website to register for the online public hearing is included in this notice below. The Agency will accept oral and written comments received during the hearing and also any written comments or voicemail comments received before the close of the public comment period per WAC 173-400-171. Written and oral comments receive equal weight in this public involvement process. The Agency will review and respond to all comments received and the comments, and responses will become part of the public record.
