    Records Request
  • A public record request is a request for a specific and identifiable Agency public document. An information request is a general inquiry seeking answers or details about a specific topic.

An example of an information request could be: Is the permit approved for the ________? or, What is the current data for air quality in my neighborhood?

    Records Request
  • No. The Records department is not able to discuss or explain records produced. In some circumstances, other Agency departments, such as Compliance or Engineering may have the ability to discuss the content of records, and we can help requesters determine who they can speak with.

  • It depends on what records are requested. Generally speaking, within five-business days, the Agency will do at least one of the following: provide the records, claim an exemption from disclosure, seek clarification of a request and/or provide a reasonable estimate of the time it will take to respond to the request.

The Agency may produce records in installments depending on the estimated volume of records involved and the Agency’s other requests.
