Cedar Grove Composting Maple Valley
On June 5, 2025, the Agency issued Notice of Construction Order of Approval number 11573 to Cedar Grove Composting Co Maple Valley for modifications to continuous monitoring of the biofilters and third party biofilter evaluations (category A); opening the second of two tipping building bay doors during operation along with associated changes to work practice standards and compliance demonstration for the tipping building (category B); and installation of a replacement grinder in the existing grinding building (category C).

The Agency accepted comments on the draft Order of Approval and DNS from December 19,2024 through January 31, 2025, and conducted an online public hearing on the draft Order of Approval and DNS on January 23, 2025. Pursuant to Puget Sound Clean Air Agency's Regulation I, Section 3.17 and RCW 43.21B.310, this Order may be appealed to the Pollution Control Hearings Board (PCHB). To appeal to the PCHB, a written notice of appeal must be filed with the PCHB and a copy served upon Puget Sound Clean Air Agency within 30 days of the date the applicant receives this Order.
In addition, any appeal of the Determination of Nonsignificance shall be with the Agency’s Order on the NOC application and shall be commenced within the time frame required to appeal the Agency’s Order on the NOC application. See Agency Regulation I, Section 3.17.
